From the precision of Mechatronic Engineering to the dynamism of Logistics: my journey is an invitation to innovation. My immersion in German culture during my undergraduate studies taught me that the best solution arises from the diversity of experiences and perspectives. With the technical mindset of an engineer, adaptability, and an appreciation for human connections, I find Logistics to be the perfect setting to combine my talents. Motivated by challenges and guided by data, I always seek to improve existing processes, inspiring teams and individuals willing to achieve great results. I keep myself in motion, staying updated on technologies, refining my skills, and learning new things that can provide a competitive edge for my career. I increasingly aim to use data strategically, letting it guide my decisions for ever-improving and more accurate performance. My name is Luís Fernando Nogueira, and I seek companies that, like me, do not settle and are passionate about innovation.
- Support the planning process; validate demand fulfillment scenarios; develop analyses for decision-making; and assist in managing performance indicators; - Ensure, together with the Operations team, that production and supply planning meet requirements according to sales forecasts; - Support the development of data analysis routines by creating spreadsheets and algorithms using Excel, Power BI, and other automation tools; - Act as a liaison with business areas (Industrial, Commercial, Financial, and Marketing), either providing or requesting support in developing projects and/or process improvements; - Prepare management reports to support decision-making in supply planning and control processes; - Collect data, integrate it through ETL processes, and generate analyses to improve processes, ensuring accuracy in decision-making.
- Register purchase processes in audit systems; - Process data about purchase items to meet public demands; - Draft acquisition contracts between public authorities and private companies; - Create dashboards with indicators for each phase of the processes; Innovation: - It was necessary to register each item in an old system, which, depending on the demand, could take weeks to complete. Additionally, errors often occurred during the registration process. - My goal was to optimize the item registration process to make it faster and error-free. - I developed a Python script to automate the registration of items, creating a solution that replaced the manual process. - The implementation of the script reduced the registration time from weeks to just a few hours and eliminated the errors that used to occur during the process.
Elis is a French multinational company that operates in over twenty countries worldwide and has more than fifty-two thousand employees. The company specializes in textile sanitation services across various sectors, including healthcare, industrial, hospitality, bars & restaurants, retail, and general services. - Lead and supervise a team of over 40 professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve goals and results; - Supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of trucks, ensuring that all vehicles are in perfect operational condition for efficient transportation operations; Develop and implement strategies to optimize delivery and collection routes, reducing operational costs and improving logistical service efficiency; - Monitor fuel consumption of the trucks and identify opportunities for cost reduction through the adoption of more efficient and sustainable practices; - Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the logistics department, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement. Innovation: - Maintenance controls, fuel consumption, and delivery performance were done across several spreadsheets with inconsistent data; - I created an easy-to-use application where information such as vehicle refueling, kilometers driven, and delivery times were recorded; - With this data, the dashboard was always updated with accurate information, updating the maintenance plan, vehicle autonomy, and delivery performance. This made it easier to make everyday decisions.
Aeris Energy is a global leader in the production of wind turbine blades and supplies the five largest clean energy companies worldwide with top-quality products. With more than five thousand employees, their contribution is invaluable. - Coordinate all movements from the start of the project to manufacture the largest wind turbine blade in the Southern Hemisphere; - Manage a team of over 40 operators involved in the production process of wind turbine blades; - Responsible for cost management related to machinery and personnel in the department; - Define and implement strategies to reduce the time spent moving wind turbine blades within the production environment; - Focus on ensuring operational safety, mitigating risks, and complying with safety regulations; - Analyze data and develop indicators to assess the department’s performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for optimizing the internal flow of wind turbine blade movements in the production process; - Development and delivery of training to establish standard operating procedures; - Data collection and analysis of wind turbine blade movements to create key performance indicators and reports for management; - Management of wind turbine blade inventory to ensure proper availability; - Communication with customers to address issues related to wind turbine blade transport devices; - Investigation of safety issues related to the movement of wind turbine blades; - Use of quality tools to address failures that occurred during wind turbine blade movement (Brainstorming, Ishikawa Diagram, 5W2H, Scatter Plot, Pareto Chart). - Responsible for implementing the company’s culture in the department on matters related to 5S, Quality, Management, and Operational Safety. Improvements - Wind turbine blades were organized in the yard through addresses. Often, operators had difficulty finding them; - I developed an app to receive the positioning information of the blades via GPS, making it easier to locate them. This optimized time and costs. - Work tools required calibration at regular intervals. Often, deadlines were missed due to lack of proper control; - I developed a system where each tool received a tag, and based on calibration, the system tracked the next calibration date and alerted when it was approaching expiration. I received an award from the quality department for this project.
- Collaborate in the development of a best practices manual for the production of new wind turbine blade projects; - Collaborate in the project of the largest wind turbine blade produced in the Southern Hemisphere; - Create reports on critical indicators and assist the area manager.
