I am currently an undergraduate at Singapore Management University, pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy with a Second Major in Accounting Data Analytics. I am particularly interested in roles at the intersection of accounting, technology, and data analytics, where structured thinking and accuracy are critical. Through my academic courses, projects and internship experience, I have developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, data analysis, and the use of analytical tools to support informed decision-making. I approach my work with a high level of attention to detail, discipline, and accountability, especially when handling data-driven and financial tasks. I was also granted an invaluable opportunity to embark on a five-month exchange program at Keio University in Japan, which enhanced my global perspective and adaptability. Living and studying in a different academic and cultural environment strengthened my ability to learn independently, communicate across cultures, and manage unfamiliar challenges. Outside of academics, I have been studying the Japanese language for over five years and hold Grade 8 certification in piano. Both pursuits have required consistency, focus, and long-term commitment, qualities that shape my approach to continuous learning and professional development. I am keen to apply my skills in accounting, assurance, and analytics-related internships and job opportunities, including those based in or connected to Japan, where I can continue to learn while contributing meaningfully to the organization.
• Collaborated with controllers from multiple other squadrons to disseminate timely and accurate information to base commander, other officers and people concerned, ensuring effective and efficient operation of the air base. • Played a huge role during monthly wartime simulation exercises, linking up personnel from the ground logistics squadron and medical center, with personnel from other squadrons to swiftly and constructively tackle simulated problems.
• Collaborated with other interns and full time workers to manage accounts of clients using tools such as Microsoft Excel • Prepared quarterly income statements and balance sheets for clients in accordance with accounting standards • Processed payroll for over 20 full-time employees using accounting software, ensuring timely and accurate submissions • Partnered up with senior accountants in analyzing and checking through weekly and monthly journals and ledgers, ensuring error-rate to be 0% • Participated in client meetings alongside senior accountants to communicate accounting matters and clarify client queries
