I have 10 years experience in policing, 3 years as a Special Constable and then 7 years as a regular officer I have skills in risk management, dynamic decision making, mental health first aid, communication skills to people from all different communities. I also have experience in retail both delivering great service and leading teams as a team leader/supervisor.

I was a response officer, I deployed to a number of emergency incidents. I was trained as a standard driver (this includes; activating blue lights, exceeding the speed limits, contravening a keep left sign, etc.) I was also trained in taser officer, this training also granted me training to more tactics and leadership roles. I am also trained in mental health first aid. I conducted PACE interviews for a number of different arrest both mine and 'handover prisoners', I have completed case files for the Crown Prosecution Service. I was usually single crewed which made me hone my skills to work independently with my management of my crime queue as well as time management, and then deal with incidents alone this meant that I had to communicate effectively with people from a multitude of different communities. I also worked as part of a team although it was a small team this made it possible to take leadership roles within the team, I have lead the team in multiple arrest attempts being the only taser carrier at the time and the most experienced officer on scene, I have also lead multiple major incidents and spontaneous incidents.
