Appointed Marine Lead for the Lake Kivu 56' Methane Extraction Project. Heading all marine related aspects of the clients construction and installation of four moored barges, their deepwater moorings, eight associated submerged separators, 22km of suspended HDPE pipelines and tie-backs from the initiation of the project. Organisation and oversight of proposals, adjudication, all on-site construction, launching, commissioning, classification, testing, diving, intervention and inspection. This is a unique project, on a virgin equatorial site with no port facilities, no existing support vessels, logistics over 1,600km of roads with 2,850m passes and in deep water with particular properties of chemoclines, and H2S, having all pipelines entirely tethered. All vessels constructed and assembled on site. The phrase "challenge" takes on a whole new meaning here.
