I consider myself highly experienced with a comprehensive and strategic understanding of Human Resource and Industrial Relations Management. I have a good understanding of business and organisational change/development. I am able to devise and implement business supportive HR strategies, improving internal processes and procedures within a demanding environment, project deadlines and budgets. My aim as a Human Resource Manager is the development of people such that the goals of the organisation are achieved, Industrial Relations shares the same aim but is focussed on labour peace. I strive to be perceived as a self starter and I am motivated to achieve. I love a challenge and I love to work in a team environment. I have fulfilled the role of Senior HR/IR Manager at Fluor Head Office in Johannes burg I have fulfilled the role of Senior HR/IR Manager at Sapref Oil Refinery in Durban with Fluor doing the shutdown there, dealing with unionised employees (350) and not having a single event of labour disruption. Senior HR/IR Manager on the Morupule Colliery Expansion Project in Palapye Botswana having to manage 14 contractors with 951 employees. Permit applications for expats and ensuring compliance of contractors in meeting the permit regulations. Recognition - I got a special bonus for dealing with permit problems expeditiously. I was also Camp Manager of the Kwa-Lwapeng Camp housing 180 residents which I did with the aid of a contractor. I managed the camp with great success by inculcating the value of co-operation. I managed the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (Legacy) and interacted with various institutions and organisations to give back to the community. Presently I am on the Simandou Project in Guinea as Senior IR Manager since April 2012. I am dealing with Contractor registration, work permits and residence permits, induction programmes, local unions and statutory instruments, Compiling Industrial Relations Procedures, Policies and Standards in accordance with International Finance Corporation standards, ILO and Guinea Labour Code, employment of Guinea citizens and expatriates, recruitment of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled craft personnel, anti-poaching management, industrial action and labour harmony, sub-contractor management, project wage schedules, hours of work and overtime, determined and undetermined duration contracts, project IR reports, training of IR support staff, Communication and Co-ordinating structures and Project Code of Conduct inclusive of discipline.

Recruit and institute a selection process to avail sufficient Officer candidates for the SA Navy – Institute recruitment and selection processes in all centres of South Africa and arrange sitting of selection panels – Fulfil the role of Training Officer Junior Officer by responsibility for the well-being, adaptation and study achievements of junior naval officers at the Military Academy as well as career development of Naval Engineers completing their studies at the University of Stellenbosch -- Part of Naval Officer leadership training selection team. Head the SA Defence Force recruitment centre in Cape Town and provide skilled recruits both of military and civilian types to all arms of the service -- Fulfil the role of Personnel Officer for the administration of both civilian and uniform staff at Naval Logistics Base (350 staff) -- Plan and implement such plans to the good that all staff meet the training and development requirements of the base -- Offer such courses personally within your scope experience such that computer proficiency, performance management, goal setting and achievement is enhanced – Address Labour Relations within the ambit of the Military Discipline Code and civilian labour within the ambit of labour law -- Apply ISO 9000 principles to personnel administration ensuring effective documentation control.
