Pianist Martin Helmchen and cellist Marie-Elisabeth Hecker founded the Fliessen International Chamber Music Festival together with Wolfram Korr and Noah Vinzens in 2023. Fantastic artists have since accepted the invitation to the Spreewand, including Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Vilde Frang, Stephen Waarts, Danjulo Ishizaka, Sebastian Manz, Julian Steckel, Timothy Ridout, Theo Plath, Philipp Tondre, Adrien La Marca, Tobias Feldmann and many more.
With its variety of new concert formats, the cultural Festival "Montforter Zwischentöne" is probably one of the most innovative festivals in Europe. We attach great importance to lasting, friendly collaborations with music ensembles, cultural workers, artists and scientists from all over the world. Guided by an annual theme, the artistic directors Folkert Uhde and Hans-Joachim Gögl create new formats that focus on direct experience.
In Wolfshagen in the Harz Mountains, the birthplace of Heinrich Engelhard Steinweg - the founder of Steinway&Sons, the most famous grand piano brand in the world - we organise the annual H. E. Steinway Festival in honour of the company founder. We have already been able to invite renowned artists to the Harz Mountains. These include Rudolf Buchbinder, PRINZEN lead singer Sebastian Krumbiegel, Omar Sosa with the NDR Big Band, Martin Helmchen, Pete York, the Aris Quartet, Fabian Müller, Axel Zwingenberger and many more. www.steinway-wolfshagen.com
