As a third-year business student at The Ohio State University, I have pursued my passion for operations management by participating in many supply chain clubs. Additionally, as a music minor, I strive to become well-rounded (both left- and right-brained). Over the Summer of 2023, I interned at Star USA, an export/import compliance consulting company through the Ohio Export Internship Program. In this internship, I learned valuable lessons in international business, legal business, and time management while working from home.
President of Club B’nai Keshet (Children of the Rainbow) at The Ohio State University Hillel. This club is centered around the lgbtq+ community within the Jewish community. In B’nai Keshet, we meet once a month to bring together our community in fun and games as well as group discussion.
Thanks to the Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) through the Ohio State University and the Ohio Department of Development, I was been placed into an internship focused on international exporting/importing at Star USA. Here, I trained in the 5 focus areas: Classification, Free Trade Agreements, Trade Management Operations, Secure Global Trade & CTPAT, and Regulatory Affairs and then worked specifically in the Trade Management Operations focus area. In my time at Star USA, Inc., I worked directly with clients to ensure cross-border compliance and logistics issues were solved quickly and accurately. I also worked in internal initiatives, creating work processes and project grading templates. I solely handled the movement of a work process from the Regulations focus area to the Trade Management Operations focus area, creating an entirely new process flow and associated trainings.
