Advisor to global operating units and ExCom on China strategy. ► Presented and received Board endorsement for framework to preserve shareholder value under various geopolitical scenarios. ► Led a comprehensive China strategy refresh across multiple businesses within the Neuroscience portfolio—realigning priorities, evaluating localization tradeoffs, and reshaping go-to-market focus to support global objectives.

Led regional strategic plans, global executive reviews, strategic initiative execution and business innovation when business grew ~4x to $2B. Leader of 20-person function. ► Responsible for regional strategic planning and executive communication, aligning local strategies with global expectations to drive strategic clarity. Spearheaded Executive Committee, Board and CEO-level reviews, built a regional Market Intelligence function, and launched regular communications to ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability. ► Managed Digital Commerical and regional Medical Affairs organizations. Expanded market development, clinical capabilities and digital sales reach. Enabled virtual sales pilots, online clinical recruitment, and therapy education in lower-tier markets—delivering impact without significant incremental investment. ► Served as interim leader (6 months) for China R&D. Avoided redundancy costs for and accelerated a new strategic initiative by stabilizing Medtronic’s China R&D Center during executive transition.
Led China localization strategy; pipeline of 10+ new manufacturing transfer and R&D projects. ► Scaled a new cross-therapy business unit to over $100M in revenue by developing a regional model targeting lower-tier cities and private hospitals, securing CEO approval, and driving expansion beyond pilot phase. BU expanded over seven years from pilot to >$100M revenue ► Secured a $20M+ investment for a physician training center in Chengdu by co-leading strategy, site selection, and local government negotiations—advancing access in Western China and aligning with national development goals. ► Maintained business continuity for Medtronic’s $40M China Diabetes unit by serving as interim GM, stabilizing operations, reducing channel inventory, and supporting a smooth leadership transition. ► Drove approval for over 10 localized R&D and manufacturing projects by leading China’s multi-BU localization strategy to meet local market needs and defend share from domestic competitors. ► Recipient of Greater China Compass Award in “Ethics & Compliance”, 2017
