I am a Board-Certified psychiatrist with over 23 years post residency experience in general psychiatry. I have extensive experience in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and am familiar with the use of a wide range of medications for the treatment of depressive, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, and psychotic disorders. I'm a skilled psychotherapist with special training in the treatment of trauma and short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy. As a psychotherapist, I want to help you to identify your goals and desires, so that you may connect with what is most important to you, helping you clear away anxieties and rationalizations that keep you stuck. At this time, I am limiting the amount of time I have available for psychotherapy. I also have an interest in alternative approaches to treatment. In addition to psychotherapy and/or psychiatric medication, I will work with you to identify lifestyle and dietary changes, supplements for mood support, and herbal remedies which can help promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Besides my training in psychotherapy, I have had numerous trainings in Mind-Body Medicine with leaders such as Richard Brown, MD and James S. Gordon, MD and I have studied the intersection of meditation and psychotherapy with the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy.
