About

I am clinical nurse lead of a community diabetes service, driving innovation and equity in diabetes care. With a strong foundation in advanced physical health practice and independent nurse prescribing, I specialize in managing complex diabetes cases while championing holistic, patient-centered care. My work spans across service transformation, quality improvement, developing and supporting nurses and strategic project management. I’ve led the development of digital tools to enhance clinical outcomes and patient engagement, and pioneered new roles within the service — notably establishing the Health and Wellbeing Coach team to support lifestyle change and self-management. Through targeted community outreach, I’ve expanded access to diabetes care, particularly among underserved populations, aligning with my deep commitment to tackling health inequalities and advancing public health. I’m passionate about frailty and its intersection with long-term conditions, and I advocate for integrated approaches that address both medical and social determinants of health. I bring a visionary mindset, collaborative spirit, and a relentless drive to improve systems, empower teams, and deliver compassionate care that transforms lives
