Engineering leader with 20+ years of experience building software products and the teams behind them. Currently leading engineering for a high-volume, highly scalable platform. Earlier roles include leading engineering for large-scale, distributed software products, including modernization programs, platform migrations to the cloud, and a complex divestiture. My focus areas include engineering strategy, delivery predictability, quality transformation, and developing engineering managers and senior individual contributors. I have led organizations through modernization programs, platform migrations, divestitures, and the build-out of new teams from the ground up. I work closely with product, risk, and compliance partners on regulated releases, and I emphasize metrics-driven engineering practices and operational excellence. Outside of work, I build with Claude — Anthropic's AI model — exploring how it integrates with the operational tools businesses use day to day. The work focuses on practical patterns: human-in-the-loop design, encoding policy and brand voice, and building reliable workflows around language model capabilities. Key responsibilities include but not restricted to: • Created and executed the technical road-map of a new high-value, high-visibility cloud based SAAS platform as part of new product development and extending engineering agility to the team. • Designing the solution for the product; managing the process set-up and monitoring development; managing overall operations for executing projects involving resource mobilization, execution within cost & time parameters; monitoring compliance in terms of documentation and processes. • Managing engineering and technical specialists to ensure long-term architecture and design goals are met with software engineering best practices in place. • Spearheaded large-scale project management using Agile and Scrum; successfully transformed and scaled teams into Scrum and Kanban. • Transitioned key product from closed beta to GA; shipped several successful releases.
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) hotel software solution that seamlessly integrates property management, global distribution, bookings and marketing–all on a single, easy-to-use platform designed exclusively for independent hoteliers, small hotel chains and hotel management companies. Key responsibilities include helping VP engineering to execute their vision and strategy and on technical design and architecture, making appropriate technology choices; establish development processes and best practices; and technical change management.
