Turning Data into Decisions | Power BI & SQL | BI Analyst | Ex-MAQ Software | Open to Analyst & Consulting Roles

Ludhiana, Punjab, India

About

I build dashboards that turn messy, scattered data into clear answers — the kind that let a business leader make a call without waiting for an analyst to run a report. At MAQ Software (1 year), I worked as a Data & BI Analyst in the Data & Business Intelligence vertical. I designed interactive Power BI dashboards across sales, finance, and operations, applied SQL for targeted data extraction and quality checks, and led iterative improvements through Agile sprint cycles — all while staying in close contact with clients to make sure the output actually answered their questions. The gap between raw data and a good decision is where I do my best work — whether that's as a BI analyst making data legible, or as a consultant helping teams act on it. I'm reinforcing that edge through the McKinsey Forward Program (structured problem-solving, consulting frameworks). My engineering foundation (CGPA 9.34, Chitkara University) gives me the technical base. The rest I'm building deliberately. Open to Analyst and Consulting roles — on-site, hybrid, or remote across India. Let's connect: DM me here or reach out via email.

  • Associate Software Engineer | Data & BI Analyst at MAQ Software

In this role, I worked within the Data & Business Intelligence vertical, focusing on Power BI dashboard development and client reporting. Project 1 — Business Reporting Dashboards • Designed and delivered interactive Power BI dashboards across sales, finance, and operations verticals, enabling stakeholders to self-serve on live data without analyst dependency. • Drove iterative improvements across Agile sprint cycles by facilitating direct client feedback sessions and translating requirements into updated report layouts and filter logic. • Implemented drill-down navigation, dynamic slicers, and conditional formatting to reduce time-to-insight for non-technical report users. • Produced end-to-end dashboard documentation covering report usage, features, and page-level functionality — enabling stakeholder onboarding without additional support. Project 2 — Web-Based Report Enhancement • Revamped existing Power BI dashboard suite by restructuring report layouts, updating visual components, and redesigning filter logic to reduce user navigation friction. • Applied SQL queries for targeted data extraction and conducted data-quality checks to ensure consistent, accurate metric display across all reporting pages. • Mapped end-to-end user interaction flows via detailed flowcharts, creating shared clarity between technical and business stakeholders on reporting system functionality.
