About

I am a former professional ice hockey player and live sports broadcaster, now founder of ReTribe, an organisation working across the UK, Europe and North America to change how people are supported in high pressure environments. My early success in sport and business was built on fear driven habits. They worked on the surface, but underneath I felt like a fraud. To mask that self doubt, I turned to alcohol. Over time I lost homes, careers and reputation, and ended up alone in Toronto, dying of alcoholism. It was there I finally asked for help. Those two words saved my life. Sobriety gave me more than recovery. It gave me purpose. Today, my work is about helping people find their way back to themselves. Through ReTribe, I work with athletes, teams and leaders to build real communities of accountability, improve culture, and support long term wellbeing. Our flagship programme, Tough Through Tender, helps people respond through self rather than react in fear. It offers a new way to succeed without harm. I have shared this work at both the IIHF Women’s and Men’s World Championships, supporting leaders across the game to rethink what it truly means to look after people in demanding environments. If you care about building cultures where people can thrive without burning out, in sport, business or life, we should probably talk.

Re-Tribe exists to create real, lasting change in sport and beyond. We are an athlete and coach support network helping people build the tools and awareness needed to thrive both on and off the ice. We believe in the power of community and accountability. We create spaces where athletes, coaches and parents can connect, learn and grow together. Our work blends lived experience with evidence-based practices to build cultures of integrity, resilience and human connection. Our Tough Through Tender programme is a transformational learning framework that empowers people to succeed without harm. It helps create a mastery climate that balances the ideals of being tough and being tender, leading to improved well-being, performance and long-term personal growth. Our support extends beyond the rink. We offer 1:1 guidance and peer-to-peer support for athletes and coaches navigating life’s challenges, transitions and pressures. Through honest conversation, practical tools and shared accountability, we help people reconnect with themselves and with others. Our mission is simple but ambitious. We want to change the way sport is experienced by giving people the tools to make better choices, strengthen relationships and lead with integrity.
