• Oversee books and records produced by outsourced accounting team for UK SAIF and Annuities Funds property holdings in accordance with group standard procedures • Operation of monthly balance sheet controls and review of financial data, including challenging numbers and detailed analytical review • Preparation of monthly trial balance reporting under FRS102 (new UK GAAP) to client finance teams • Quarterly preparation of IFRS additional disclosure reporting to Prudential plc for SAIF and Annuities Funds to assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group company • Preparation of statutory accounts for UK limited companies involved in the holding and management of property assets • Developing a close working relationship with M&G Real Estate Fund and Asset Managers to ensure adequate understanding of business strategies and key transactions • Ensuring Group Tax are provided with the necessary information to complete tax computations Key projects: • Create and improve internal control process for the monthly reporting of SAIF and Annuities funds to enhance the robustness of procedures and controls • implement new fund structure setup to ensure the smooth completion of asset acquisition • Improve accounting reporting procedure and working file for Annuities and SAIF funds to enable work crossover during holiday period
• Report to the Head of Corporate Finance, supervise and train junior account staff • Produce monthly Management Accounts for 5 entities under UK GAAP • Responsible for month end process, quarterly end and year end reporting • Provide reporting and analysis on partner responsible accounts, eg. Client entertaining, Marketing, Professional fees, etc. • Validate of all purchase and sales invoices entered by junior staff • Implement monthly VAT review and file quarterly HMRC VAT return • Produce three and six monthly forecasts and generate variance analysis • Review and reconcile multi-currency bank statements for entities of the Groups and prepare Bank Activities • Monitor and ensure the travel costs recharged to the investment property companies • Work with Finance team members dealing with audit queries Key project: • Implement Purchase Order system to ensure better control and monitor of expenses spending • Develop staff expense reimbursement system, eg. spreadsheet, sign-off procedure and payment run process to cut time involved and ensure fast payment to the staff
• Liaise with internal and external parties including suppliers to resolve supplier payment queries • Assist and cover for the Expense Specialist in payment of expenses for overhead employees • Complete monthly VAT checks
