• Voice Over dubbing German and English
Voice Over Dubbing, Audiobook narration and performance in German and English. Nina Franoszek recently received the Earphones Award for the audiobook „The German House“, for Harper Collins. An Audio excerpt is here: https://www.harpercollins.com/9780062960252/the-german-house/#audio-sample AUDIOFILE MAGAZINE: #Thegermanhouse Annette Hessʼs international bestseller uses an unusual approach to the 1963 Auschwitz war crimes trials in Frankfurt. Finding answers and hope through post-Holocaust fiction is a challenge, yet this gripping audiobook succeeds because of the power of the dialogue as delivered by narrator #NinaFranoszek. The story focuses on Eva Bruhns, a naïve 24-year-old who accepts a job as a translator at the tribunal. As Eva does her job, she begins to question her own family's conduct during and after the war. Franoszek captures Eva's emotions with intensity and, at times, a surprisingly realistic tone of wonderment, both of which highlight the questions and anger bottled deep inside Eva. The result is a powerful performance by Franoszek that complements the novel superbly. D.J.S. Winner of AudioFile Earphones Award © AudioFile 2020, Portland, Maine [Published: JANUARY 2020] APPLE BOOK REVIEW: „If we know of atrocities being committed but donʼt try to stop them, are we complicit in those crimes? Annette Hess tackles this vital question in her powerful historical novel set in West Germany in the early 1960s. When idealistic Eva is hired as a translator for the trials of former Nazi SS members, she learns the full reality of the Holocaust for the first time—and begins to understand that sheʼs been lied to by both her family and her country. Actress Nina Franoszek (Mad Men) gives a deeply emotional performance, expressing all of Evaʼs pain and fear, as well as her courage. The German House is a deeply disturbing, important, and powerful novel that youʼll want to talk about with your friends.” - Apple Book Reviews
