Design is not only about how something looks. It is about how it works and how it makes people feel. I grew up in a family of architects, which meant design was always part of my world. Over time I realised it was not just about creating beautiful spaces, but about shaping environments that bring out the best in people. That curiosity became my calling and led me to study at the Academy of Architecture before founding JTCPL Designs in 2002. At JTCPL Designs, our philosophy is simple. We create healthy spaces that enhance well-being, inspire creativity, and support performance. Our work spans uber-luxury residences, corporate offices, and collaborative environments, each designed with the belief that spaces can directly influence how people Live, Work, and Thrive. Along the way, I have authored The Healthy Office and The 5 Ds, where I share lessons on designing for wellness, motivation, and self improvement. As a student of longevity, I am fascinated by how environment, lifestyle, and design contribute to healthier and more fulfilling lives. I have also had the privilege of speaking at EO and YPO forums, engaging with members on the relationship between design, wellness, and leadership. The journey has been humbling. As an active member of the Mumbai Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization, I not only connect with but also contribute to a robust global network of leaders. We share experiences, best practices, and ideas in a strictly confidential setting. Tasks: Networking & Collaboration: I have nurtured productive relationships with more than 100 fellow entrepreneurs, sharing insights and contributing to our collective success. Peer-to-Peer Learning: Participated in over 50 peer-to-peer learning sessions, gleaning invaluable insights across a myriad of sectors and businesses. Mentorship: Mentored 20+ emerging entrepreneurs, providing the guidance, support, and encouragement necessary for navigating their business journey. During my impactful tenure at Jayant Tipnis Consultants Private Limited, I took on the lead role in catalysing digital transformation, which involved automating our studio and introducing CAD to our offering. This was in the early 90s when Computer Aided Design (CAD) was just about coming of age. Tasks: Studio Automation: I spearheaded the initiative to automate the studio and introduce computer-aided design tools. This progressive step modernised our approach to architectural projects, improving the efficiency of our design process by 60% and more. Business Development: Involved in business development and acquisition, I helped explore and secure new opportunities for growth and expansion, leading to a 40% increase in our client base over five years. Team Mentorship: As the Studio Mentor, I cultivated a supportive and educational environment for architects and designers, assisting in the professional development of over 50 team members. Achievements: Digital Transformation: By digitising the design process, we were able to increase productivity by 50% and reduce the average project completion time by 25%. Business Expansion: I played a key role in acquiring 20+ new business opportunities, expanding the company's project portfolio and enhancing our market presence. Project Success: Leading key projects, such as the Bharat Petroleum Retail Headquarters and the Corporate Office for Toyo Engineering India Ltd, helped boost the firm's industry reputation. Both projects received high recognition and contributed to the firm's portfolio, attracting a further 15% increase in prospective Clients.
