Nina founded Iraya Energies to push the boundaries of how machines can help humans in Reading the Earth better, and support balanced industry decision-making across energy transition-critical industries: Earth, Energy, Environment and Engineering. With the fast-paced development in artificial intelligence, particularly in Generative AI, she is an advocate of ecosystem sustainability and governance in AI and its ethical use. In particular, she highlights the energy and water footprint of AI, its impact to biodiversity and local ecosystem, which are key considerations for responsible development of emerging AI technologies and large-scale data centers. In her 25 years of experience in the energy and tech sector, Nina has held multiple technical and management roles in areas of upstream, engineering, software development, and capacity and alliance building. Nina Marie Hernandez has executive education from INSEAD Business School in France, and earned her Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of the Philippines.

Main expertise in technical consulting- from project conceptualization, negotiation and contract closure, client partnerships and project management.
Rock Physicist for Seismic Reservoir Characterization Studies:Lithology classification using Pre-Stack Seismic Inversion, Pore Pressure Prediction, 4D Feasibility Studies, 3D Mechanical Earth Modeling. Special Projects include Thin Bedded Reservoirs, Gas Hydrates and Fractured Carbonates and Integrated Exploration Workflows. Software: Techlog, Petrel, MMRD, ISIS, Visage and Stonefish. Experience in South East Asia, Australia, India, North Sea and Brazil Assets.
