In addition to my work as level designer, I manage a team of 4 level designers working on Gates of Hell. My main tasks as a manager include: ➭ defining & assigning tasks for each level designer ➭ taking part in the decision processes with other leads ➭ planning the future content & updates ➭ organising the review & rework of existing content ➭ conducting organised playtests with the beta testers ➭ creating design documents for the level design team ➭ communicating the needs of the level design team to the other departments ➭ look after my team's morale & well-being
Working remotely as a level designer besides my studies, it can be considered as a part-time job I do on my free time. I work as part of a team composed of people from all around the world. My tasks as level designer include: ➭ historical research and pre-production documents ➭ defining layouts & visual style for each map ➭ blocking & level building in the GEM editor ➭ conducting playtests & collecting feedback ➭ adjusting maps accoridng to collected feedback -- Barbedwire Studios is an independent company formed in 2015 by ex-modders to work on highly immersive historical games. The team is composed of varied profiles & is very dynamic. Our first game Call to Arms: Gates of Hell is a WWII real time tactics game based on historical accuracy and meticulous recreation of places, events and equipments. The game is developped on GEM engine and place itself as a spiritual successor to the Men of War franchise.
