Worked as the WASH (Water and Sanitation, Hygiene) Coordinator for disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Dorian. Responsible for liaison with Unicef, other NGO's and local municipality to coordinate relief efforts. Managed water purification/production sites (sea water purified using Reverse Osmosis and chlorination). Also coordinated and managed a water trucking program, to distribute produced drinking water throughout the island.
Coordinated a team of about 30 volunteers in planning and leading events for adolescents. Mentoring volunteer leaders, one on one and implementing leadership program strategies. Planning programming material for the entire year.
Disaster Assistance Response Team - WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Manager. A temporary emergency response position. Worked with locals staff, municipal and federal governments and the United Nations to coordinate the purchase of supplies and construction of functioning washrooms, sinks, showers and solar powered water heaters. Was also responsible for water quality testing, ensuring safe drinking water for refugees at two refugee camps.
Provided geotechnical engineering services on various projects, including pile monitoring on the for Roger's Place, and cross-hole sonic logging for Stantec Tower. Responsible for field drilling, field inspections, reporting and proposal preparation.
