By graduating in September 2016, I will be holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus gained valuable insights into the business of one of the most innovative and successful corporations worldwide. During my cooperative studies I got the chance to support the head of the regional procurement organization in Singapore for three months. My tasks included the preparing of quarterly based reports with Ariba Spend Visibility, supporting the local marketing buyer and working on ad-hoc tasks. A bigger task was analyzing the local workload allocation for a restructuring of the organization. I extended my knowledge on KPIs and gained better understanding of the global procurement structure and processes.
To understand the different KPIs and goals in the procurement envoirement I took an internship in the controlling office for SAPs procurement organization. My job was mainly to set up a process for incoming rebates from the procurement organization. During this intership I gained a better understanding for P&L relevant savings, as rebates or discounts. A scientific paper on a better process and approach for negotiating rebates was written during this internship.
