At the helm of criminal justice within the Ministry of Justice UK, my role is instrumental in maintaining equitable treatment of staff and prisoners, leading on investigations as well as ensuring rigorous data compliance. The position leverages my profound competencies in law enforcement, sensitive content review, and investigative procedures—all vital in fostering a just environment. My recent involvement in cyber-risk analysis as a Senior Investigator at a number of high profile government departments has honed my abilities in complex problem-solving and persuasive communication. These skills are now pivotal in my current capacity, where I strive to eliminate unlawful discrimination and upend criminal activities within the justice system.
• Responsible for managing 540 prisoners and 390 staff equality under the DIRF process in the Ministry of Justice; • Reviewing online harmful / sensitive content by prisoners • Conducted investigations where breaches of standards of professional behaviour was alleged, • Responsible for the dissemination of data monitoring to eliminate any unlawful discrimination and treatment on staff and prisoners. • Highlighted and resolved areas of data noncompliance. • Investigate allegations of criminal activity including sexual offences, assaults etc • Liaised closely with law enforcement agencies. • Compiled reports and responsible for addressing issues raised. • Responsible for carrying out equality related audits and reports findings to the Senior Management Team (SMT) • Responsible for developing links between other areas of the establishment and local groups to aid and improve the knowledge and understanding of different equality strands • Addressed and investigated bullying and harassment related incidents. • Ensured the organisation complied with the equality act 2010. • Responsible for investigating allegations of criminality by inmates and staff; • Responsible for ensuring that all staff, agency workers and volunteers receive equality training and ensures that all prisoners receive an equality induction and appropriate equality related training in accordance with their sentence plan • Managed the Incident reporting system (DIRF). • Responsible for acting as the subject matter Lead advisor in the establishment providing advice and recommendations to the Senior Management Team, managers and individuals. • Responsible for the management of all staff within their area. • My role requires me to investigate high risk asylum claims including fraudulent claims and produce decisions surrounding modern day slavery, child abuse, FGM, allegations of persecution etc. • Conducting minors and vulnerable witness interviews using special techniques. • Compile, examine and assemble evidence to make a decision. • Investigate and examine counterfeit and fraudulent documentation. • Document hypotheses, warrants and conclusions, associating evidence and following regulations; • Key specialist knowledge of Immigration, Criminal and Human Rights Law. • Working positively with internal, corporate partners and stakeholders; • Updating systems accurately and within the agreed timeframes and working to strict daily & weekly workload and target; • Obtaining of witness statements and providing testimonies in court • Presenting findings through judicial proceedings, • Evidence collecting and preservation; • Conducting audio and video witness and victim interviews. • Disseminating intelligence to the National Crime agency, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, Home office, Immigration and Police forces across England Scotland and Wales on behalf of the UK government.
My role required me to be operationally deployed on the streets of London routinely armed with the overall responsibility to disrupt, deter and detect terrorist activity and reduce level one crime. Based at the Palace of Westminster I was responsible for policing the Houses of Parliament and House of Lords as well as all Diplomatic and sensitive buildings in London. Responsibilities Included:- ∞ Provided armed specialist protection direct to the Prime Minister / diplomatic residence in London including Embassies, High Commissions, consular sections, HM government and the general public. ∞ Responsible for the security and liaison of 10 Downing Street itself, US embassy, US ambassador’s residence, New Scotland Yard, certain private sensitive residencies of diplomats, politicians and Senior military staff as well as the former Prime minister and visiting heads of State. ∞ Contingency planning and deployment of officers surrounding high profile and public events. ∞ Responsible for briefing and debriefing of firearms officers. ∞ Counter-terrorism surveillance. ∞ Data analysis of policing operations and normal policing duties. ∞ Undertake the protection in a tactful discreet manner, continually looking for threats and suspicious individuals or vehicles, taking appropriate action where required; proactive in counter terrorism policing. ∞ Carrying of loaded firearms Glock 9mm, MP5 Rifle G36 Rifle and Taser trained ∞ Responding to critical Firearm incidents.
