I recently had the privilege of working with the Cyprus Museum, an esteemed institution dedicated to ancient artifacts, on a contemporary exhibition. This exhibition was a collaborative effort between the renowned contemporary sculptor Michalis Charalambides and the museum. Through this innovative project, ancient artifacts were given new life through 3D models and virtual reality, blending the old with the new in a captivating display. In my role, I was responsible for developing the visual identity of the exhibition, which included designing the exhibition catalogue and creating aluminum engravings on the walls featuring the exhibition's text. Additionally, I managed various other graphic design tasks, ensuring a cohesive and visually engaging experience for visitors. This project required a deep understanding of both historical context and modern design techniques, allowing me to merge tradition with innovation effectively. Our creative journey aimed to encapsulate the essence of human encounters and the intricate journey of love's decay and subsequent revival. Inspired by Michalis Charalambides' masterful works, we focused on transforming words into vibrant imagery, with each stroke and hue carrying a multitude of narratives. Central to our narrative arc was the theme of decay, serving as a pivotal point that propelled the emotional trajectory of each sub-chapter. The use of clay as a medium symbolized the palpable embodiment of emotions, morphing into a three-dimensional mesh that intricately wove together the complex network of human sentiments and experiences. This project was a profound exploration of love's dissolution and eventual rebirth, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the rich, emotional landscape we created.

  • Freelance 3D Artist at American Heart Association

As an experienced professional in the intersection of science and art, I recently had the opportunity to work with the American Heart Association on the Periodic Food Table initiative. In this role, I collaborated with the renowned animator Markos Kay to illustrate how ten different biomolecules might appear if magnified to a visible size. This project was instrumental in helping the association visually communicate complex biochemical concepts to the general public, enhancing their understanding of how these molecules function and impact health. My technical skills include proficiency in 3D modeling, animation, and graphic design, utilizing tools such as Blender, PyMOL, and Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed and accurate visual representations. With a strong foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, I ensure that my illustrations are not only visually appealing but also scientifically accurate. My ability to transform intricate scientific data into engaging visual content showcases my talent in scientific communication and health education. Beyond my technical abilities this project has sharpened my creative thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving. These skills enable me to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and deliver high-quality work that meets the needs of both scientific and general audiences. My work is driven by a passion for making science accessible and engaging, empowering people to understand and appreciate the vital role of biomolecules in their health and well-being.
