I worked in the company as an all-rounder. Storing goods, dispatching shipments, inventory management – all kinds of tasks were part of my daily routine. Due to my fast and precise way of working, I was assigned to a wide variety of tasks. Because of the trust placed in me, I was also involved in warehouse planning meetings and employee discussions.
Like every young man, I also had to complete my mandatory military service. I was drafted into the Radar Battalion at the 'Sitzenheim Barracks'. After basic training, I was assigned as an assistant to the Supply NCO. My duties included planning, executing, and documenting the distribution of food, household supplies, and other goods. As I was the only one in my battalion to be promoted to the rank of Private First Class, I was additionally responsible for leading my fellow soldiers during operations.
Every Saturday, my main responsibility was to man the main cash register. However, I was also frequently assigned to quickly place goods in their designated sales areas. I held this part-time job while attending HTL Bregenz.
I worked in the gastronomy sector for three months to make good use of the time between finishing school and my enlistment with the Austrian Armed Forces. I wanted to find out whether this job was something for me. At the beginning, my tasks mainly consisted of peeling vegetables and tenderizing meat. Towards the end, however, I had taken on almost all of the responsibilities of the grill cook and butcher, working alongside them.
For my diploma thesis, I worked for two months at Blum. During this time, my colleague and I worked on our project 'Delta Robot'. The project involved the planning, implementation, and commissioning of the Delta Robot. Due to the dropout of our third team member, we were not able to fully complete the project despite each of us investing more than 180 hours. However, we demonstrated ambition and persistence, and advanced the project as far as possible.
