As a long-term sales professional – who has worked for both startup and large oncology pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies – I am driven every day knowing that there is a direct connection between my work and positive patient outcomes. Not many jobs can offer that, but mine puts me in communication with healthcare Professionals daily – educating physicians, understanding patient needs, and delivering life-saving/changing products. Furthermore, I impact the patient outside of my sales role by volunteering with vital non-profits, such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). To truly impact patients positively, I effectively navigate complex health systems and welcome the challenge to work cross-functionally with all stakeholders. I participate in Patient Value and Access/ Market Access Projects to contribute to the patient experience. This is especially important in today’s competitive healthcare arena where many decision-making groups are provided all relevant resources and information to maximize patient access and outcomes. To sustain long-term success in my field, it is also necessary to commit to life-long learning. Oncology is a dynamic space, so I am motivated to remain active professionally. With that, I have served as a board member for Women in Bio Pittsburgh, workstream lead for a Takeda Development Network, and an active member of HBA. I am at my best when applying my continuous learning and growth mindset across all healthcare topics.
