I am an incoming pre-doctoral intern in clinical psychology at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology (CMTP) at Boston Medical Center. My research focuses on the cultural contexts of suicidality among South Asian and South Asian American populations and the implications of these contexts for culturally responsive intervention and care in underserved urban communities.
I am research intern for Dr. Kiara Alvarez within the Disparities Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. Our team is in the process of developing and testing a family-based preventive intervention for suicide risk among immigrant youth.
*Funded via NIMH R01MH118220: Deriving a Clinical Decision Rule for Suicide Risk in the Emergency Department Setting I am a graduate research intern for Dr. Edwin Boudreaux with the Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Our team is in the process of building a clinical decision tool for suicide risk detection in emergency department patients.
