Working at the Innovations/Naval Department as simulation specialist. Main focus is engineering and optimization of offshore operations using advanced lift systems. For this purpose, detailed time domain simulation models are developed and verified based on full scale test data. Topics include structural dynamics (FE super elements), vibrations, control, hydraulics, pneumatics, vessel motions, risers, hydrodynamics and dynamic positioning (DP).
Involved in various theoretical and experimental projects related to structural engineering. Research topics varied from qualification of hoses for LNG transfer, pneumatic vibration absorbers, shock loading till ship collision analyses of offshore platforms. Main expertise is simulation of structural dynamics using both self developed models (MATLAB etc.) and commercial FE codes like Orcaflex, MSC.Marc and LS-Dyna.
PhD student in the Dynamics and Control Technology group. The topic of the research project was stability of dynamically loaded thin-walled structures.
