With a background of more than 30 years in synthetic organic chemistry I have worked in different fields e.g. liquid crystals or enzyme inhibitors. During the last 14 years at BAYER I gathered experiences in the parallel synthesis of ~200.000 test compounds for different targets in the field of Pharmaceuticals, Animal Health or Crop Science. I have a strong focus on lab automation, autopurification scenarios and analytics. In addition I am responsible for several aspects of external cooperations in the field of library synthesis, such as dataflow, compound registration processes etc. For about 2 years I work now as a medicinal chemist dealing with different topics, actually with anti-cancer drugs.
drug synthesis, parallel synthesis of compound libraries, labautomation, LC-MS, chromatography, databases, external cooperations, compound logistics, leadership
synthesis planning, organic synthesis of drug candidates, solid phase synthesis, combinatorial chemistry
organic synthesis of potential drug candidates, phosphorus containing compounds, enzyme kinetics
