When I first learned about ActivePure®, the technology that powers Aerus products, I knew it would change the world. The more I learned about Indoor Environmental Issues, the more passionate I became about becoming part of the solution. In 2016, I decided to leave my career and join with my husband to build an indoor Environmental Health and wellness brand, dedicated to improving the quality of water we drink and the air we breathe. Now, serving the Delaware community with two locations, I am proud to say the “Healthy Home Experts” at Aerus Delaware provide indoor environmental solutions for both commercial and residential needs. Everyone deserves clean, healthy water, air and surfaces, and that’s what Aerus Delaware products and services deliver—without the use of chemicals.
When I joined my husband at Aerus, I went all in. I helped launch the Beyond line, and I learned about mold remediation and air quality. It was important to me to understand indoor problems to fully appreciate Beyond by Aerus’s solutions. Why am I so passionate about spreading the word to businesses, organizations, and other franchisees? It’s simple: These products improve health and wellness. Beyond by Aerus Beyond by Aerus products use NASA-inspired technology to deliver healthy indoor living environments. In fact, ActivePure is the only air cleaning technology awarded the Certified Space Technology seal by the Space Foundation. There is no other product line like it because the technology uses oxidation to seek out contaminants, fungi, mold, and odor-causing bacteria—and destroy them. Beyond by Aerus products are unique because they provide a protective blanket in the air and on surfaces, 24 hours a day, without emitting chemicals and ozone. They are proven to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable living environment by: • Protecting against airborne and surface contaminants • Eliminating odors • Reducing irritants that aggravate allergies Our air purifiers treat flooring, furniture, upholstery, and fixtures. Another life-changing product is Laundry Pro. 2.0, which uses ActivePure Technology and cold water to effectively clean clothes without detergent! I initiated many changes in this position managing high-volume stores. I’m particularly proud of my “Customer Love” program, which encouraged feedback from customers and employees on everything from the clothing to the store fixtures. With detailed information in hand, I worked with several departments to develop improvements. It was a team effort that paid dividends; the program was rolled out company-wide. I also served as a regional liaison for corporate partners, educated staff on sales techniques, and helped onboard other district managers. These efforts elevated our service results and propelled the district forward.
For this high-volume district, I oversaw Gymboree and Gymboree outlet stores (two very different animals) as well as boutique-style Janie and Jack stores in Delaware and Maryland. I launched a Janie and Jack Outlet store, a Crazy 8 store, and a Crazy 8 outlet, ultimately overseeing six brands and 16 stores. I traveled to other locations to help with store openings, and I served as the region captain for Janie and Jack outlets.
Overseeing stores in Rehoboth, Wilmington, Newark, and Bear, Delaware, I improved internal processes by helping to write a training book and standard operating procedures. I traveled to other locations to teach a network marketing class, and I educated colleagues on a vendor’s hot tub line. I also cultivated partnerships with personal trainers who were referral sources. A responsibility I enjoyed was working with leadership to help plan and execute the company’s biannual team-building Manager Summits. Personnel from 35 locations convened to learn about product launches, communication, and sales techniques.
I began a career in the retail sector after working in banking and insurance. I started as an assistant manager at a high-volume Victoria’s Secret store. After being transferred to Bath & Body Works (under the same corporate umbrella) to serve as a store manager, I was promoted to manage a new-concept flagship store. I ultimately became a regional trainer for a clinical skin care line, and I traveled throughout the U.S. to help open stores—including a store in Manhattan. As manager of the flagship store, I implemented changes that boosted efficiency and volume. (At one point, we had to call in fire marshals to control the crowd.) Here I had oversight for 12 managers and 250 sales associates—and I discovered my knack for training.
