I am a highly reliable, conscientious, hardworking and motivated individual, with a pragmatic approach to all aspects of work. I am always keen to develop my knowledge and skills, and enjoy working either on my own, or as part of a team. Whilst I may appear restrained, I am passionate about all aspects of engineering, and the world of technical design. Throughout University I have applied myself diligently to my studies eventually obtaining Masters Degree in Mechatronic Engineering. I am proud to say that my hard work has been recognised having been awarded “Student of the Year” in successive years at Belfast Metropolitan College (2012 and 2013). During my University career I have had the opportunity to lead a project team on a number of occasions, I enjoyed this, and feedback in relation to my performance has been positive. In addition to same I have had the privilege of entering the Erasmus placement programme. In 2016 as part of my degree course I studied at a German university in Augsburg. Whilst there, I was involved in a series of mini projects for each module. I was tasked with control and automation included programming a mini Elevator using Microsoft studio with PLC. Power electronics and drives included creating a device for the magnetisation of magnets. Mechatronics included creating a Matlab program to control the balance of a metal ball on a wire track. Renewable Energy included using power factory to design and simulate an electric power grid network for a German village. Working in Germany has given me the appetite to work abroad should the opportunity arise. I enjoyed all aspects of the Masters degree in “Mechatronic Engineering” and graduated in 2017 with a second class honours. I now wish to embark on a challenging but rewarding career path.
