I am the Lab Manager at the Nitsan Lab for Sustainable Development at Tel Aviv University, where I support researchers in leading impactful, science-based projects across the globe. I bring hands-on experience in managing field work and international collaborations in Malawi, Brazil, India, and Israel. I lead the Nitsan Lab’s mission to advance sustainable development through research, innovation, and international collaboration. Overseeing end-to-end project management, daily operations, strategic growth, and global partnerships, I manage a multidisciplinary team of 10 PhD researchers and 20+ BA and MA students from Tel Aviv University and partner institutions. I currently oversee 9 active projects across India, Israel, and Brazil, spanning agriculture, public health, education, and community development. What I do: Direct all lab functions, including administration, HR, budgeting, events, communications, and social media Manage the full project lifecycle — from concept development and fundraising to implementation, reporting, and evaluation Build and expand partnerships with universities, governments, NGOs, and industry leaders in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and Israel Oversee multi-country research initiatives in agriculture, public health, and education Apply for Israeli and international competitive grants totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars Manage complex budgets of hundreds of thousands of dollars and lead financial and narrative reporting to funders Lead and maintain a 100+ alumni community, organizing annual professional events and actively supporting career placement and professional networking in the sustainable development field Flagship projects: Brazil: Partnered with Gerando Falcões to run four pilot programs in São Paulo favelas addressing safe drinking water access, WASH, dengue prevention, and math education India: Managing a large-scale digital agricultural extension program in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Columbia University and Amrita University Israel: Leading an agricultural education program with MASHAV and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, training thousands of professionals from developing countries
The Nitsan Lab at Tel Aviv University is a pioneering research institute bridging the Israeli sustainable development innovation ecosystem with developing countries that can benefit from these technologies. My responsibilities include offering comprehensive support to Masters and PhD students leading groundbreaking research projects in developing countries in the topic of sustainable development. My work includes support in project design, administration, logistics, writing grant proposals and budgets, and developing partnerships with like-minded organizations. Coordinator of training programs at Mashav’s Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) in English and Spanish. I organize and direct high level courses for professionals from developing countries in a variety of topics including sustainable development, climate change, gender equality, innovation and entrepreneurship. Conducting high level courses in Model UN across Israel, teaching international relations, public speaking, debate and negotiation for accomplished high school students. Have worked in academic institutions in Ra'anana, Kfar haYarok, Tel Aviv and Haifa. Designed and led a research project in Malawi in the topic of remote monitoring for smallholder farmers. Improving smallholder farmers' farm monitoring capability is crucial in increasing agricultural productivity and improving Malawi's rural economy. This research tested the efficiency of different technological methods in monitoring farm management and agronomic aspects, including but not limited to input use, harvest levels, income, presence of pests and diseases, and more. The project team consisted of Malawian, international and Israeli students working in collaboration. My responsibilities included leading the team, communicating with the university and our local and international partners, managing farmer surveys, and writing reports.
