About

Did you know that according to a study done by Coleman, more than half of skilled nursing facility residents have dangerous swallowing disorders, or dysphagia? And not properly addressing dysphagia often leads to aspiration pneumonia, dehydration, and even risk of choking. We provide exceptional FEES Services (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) in NY and NJ to gain a clear picture of your resident’s swallowing issues. Then, we develop personalized therapy protocols to protect them from the dangers of aspiration, pneumonia, and other issues that lead to rehospitalization, while restoring their ability to eat the foods they love! And, our FEES service saves your facility thousands of dollars per resident compared to hospital-based MBS studies without your resident having to leave your facility. We partner with skilled nursing facilities, physician offices, hospitals, long term acute care, home health and rehabilitation centers to improve the quality of life of individuals with dysphagia and reduce associated complications and costs. Services are provided within 24-72 hours of consultation with same day reports. For emergent procedures, we average same day service. FEES mentoring is available through unique opportunities. Email [email protected] for any FEES procedures or interest in mentoring. I also provide tracheostomy education as a consultant in skilled nursing facilities. Continuing education is provided both on-line and in-person. Email [email protected] for any tracheostomy related education.
