I am a sophomore Psychology student with a minor in Child Development. I aspire to get a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Play Therapy. I want to connect with children through their imaginative world of play to help them grow and develop into well-functioning people of society. I am seeking psychology internships, experience, and mentorship that will help me prepare for a Masters degree.
- Responsible for the older 2s/younger 3s classroom - Keep children engaged with fun learning and imaginative play - Create and utilize weekly lesson plans as the summer teacher - Collaborate with other teachers to keep the kids safe and happy!
- Assisting with cognitive psychology research through managing SONA studies, Qualtrics surveys, data collection, and data analysis on Excel
- Helped prepare lesson plans with the teacher for the week - Set up different lessons and crafts for each student - Assisted students during their educational tasks to keep them on track - completed one-on-one immersive activities with each student during free play (counting games, butterfly observation, arts and crafts) - engaged the students with stories during circle time
- Provided consistent care for children aged 3–9 during evenings and weekends, providing a safe, engaging environment. - Built trusting relationships with families through consistent and attentive care.
