I'm an AI-Enhanced Futures Designer working between Madrid and Buenos Aires. I build prototypes and design fiction artifacts that turn research into decisions organizations can act on. My starting point is never a technology: it's someone specific, in a specific situation, dealing with a future that arrived without asking. I trained as a sociologist before becoming a designer, and it shows. I'm less interested in what the future looks like than in who has to live in it, and how. As Managing Partner at BPP Analytics & Design, I combine sociological research, futures design, and experimentation to support high-stakes strategic decisions. At Heated Studio, which I co-founded, I help organizations imagine and prototype climate futures. I designed and teach the Emerging Technologies course for UDIT Madrid's Online Master's in UX Design, built on a stance of neither fear nor fascination toward AI. Earlier, at Near Future Laboratory and Girardin & Nova, I delivered design fiction projects for global clients across telecommunications, finance, defense, and mobility, turning abstract risk into artifacts teams can argue about. I've taught and lectured at universities in Uruguay, Italy, France, and Spain, and keynoted at Buenos Aires' Economic and Social Council, where I proposed a Futures Anticipation Unit for public policy. I document my practice through Otros Futuros, a YouTube channel where speculative thinking becomes tangible work, and publish MARGIN.SIGNALS, an independent zine tracking weak signals from cultural margins before they harden into trends. I was born in Buenos Aires, a city that teaches you early that scenarios flip. That turned out to be professional training. Working on something that doesn't have a clear future yet? Let's talk. nicolasbronzina.com
Designed and authored the Emerging Technologies course (6 ECTS) for the Online Master's Degree in User Experience at UDIT Madrid. The course examines how technologies emerge, stabilize, and reshape design practice, covering science and technology studies, the philosophy of technology, speculative design, and AI as both a material and a tool of UX design. Structured across six units around a continuous learning arc, students work on an AI system from their own UX practice throughout the course, moving from observation to speculative prototyping, design with AI, and a final professional proposal. The pedagogical stance is neither fear nor fascination: using the technology while interrogating it from within design practice.
Research collective developing design fiction methodologies from Latin American contexts. We work with informal economies, resource constraints, and everyday adaptation as design materials. Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia. Futures research beyond institutional frameworks.
We are design fiction collective that enables companies imagine new climate futures leveraging design fiction, speculative play, and Artificial Intelligence. We are very prototyping oriented and believe in a "show future, dont-tell future" methodology.
We are a strategic design consultancy that turns uncertainty into actionable decisions. Through exploratory research, prototyping, and strategic communication, we help leaders stop guessing and start moving — with evidence, not intuition. Buenos Aires / Madrid.
We were a multidisciplinary agency that provoked unexpected perspectives on global challenges and emerging technologies. People approached us not to build a business case or to showcase a technological solution, but they hired our services to actively experiment with alternative visions for their organization. The partnership came to an end following Nicolas Nova's unexpected passing.
