About

I am an actuary and risk & capital management professional with deep expertise in risk & capital modelling, measurement and governance. Since 2012, I have enjoyed a very varied and rich career in risk and actuarial science, currently working as a lecturer in actuarial science at both the University of Leicester and the Bayes Business School (London), as an independent actuarial consultant, and as a corporate trainer. I was previously a Senior Expert at McKinsey, leading diverse teams and serving clients globally on topics ranging from detailed financial, risk and capital modelling to regulatory compliance and operational resilience. At McKinsey I had the pleasure of creating meaningful impact at institutions across Europe, the Americas and Asia, and prior to that, I developed, implemented and calibrated capital models at AIG in London. In addition to my technical expertise, I am a celebrated communicator and trainer, having presented courses and facilitated trainings in professional, academic, and volunteering contexts for more than 15 years, on a wide range of topics including risk management, Solvency II, leadership development and presentation skills. Outside of my professional activities, I’m an international Touch Rugby referee and referee coach, and held between 2013 and 2022 various volunteering roles in the sport’s governing bodies, including president of the European Federation. I’m a fully qualified actuary since 2016 (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary) and hold a PhD in Theoretical Cosmology from the Ecole Polytechnique (France), following studies in Mathematics and Physics at Leuven University (Belgium) and Harvard University (USA).
