- Perform, complete and review key balance sheet reconciliations ensuring appropriate accounting rules are adhered to. - Post journals on a monthly basis including appropriate challenge of backup provided from FP&A and Central Project team. - Investigation of key cost variances against the profit and loss forecast at month end. - Full ownership of the quarterly VAT returns, including liaising with the internal Tax team. - Delivery of quarterly financial reporting (FinRep) and half yearly/interim and year end pack. - Liaise with external and internal auditors as required. - Develop relationships with other Finance teams including, the Central FP&A team, Central project finance team, Bank consolidation team and all other business Finance teams where required. - Ongoing process review and improvement to maintain excellent financial control. • Provide detailed accurate analysis and make recommendations on the structure of large and complex transactions such as loans, Advanced Over-rider and Broker reviews. Approve large commercial premium finance in line with £500k underwriting authority. • Prepare comprehensive and concise credit papers to present to Chief Credit Risk Office and Bank Credit Committee in a timely manner. • Portfolio administration involving producing letters and ensuring management information is received and analysed efficiently, by identifying any variances and understanding these movements. • Analysing and researching the corresponding markets for relevant supporting information and provide updates to management on any material changes for existing customers. • Understand and report on Interim and Annual Reports for existing and potential PLC companies. • Escalate any identified issues and process gaps and present possible solutions to management, including recommendations on amendments to the Credit Risk Policy. • Liaise with other departments such as finance, contract management, broker management and sales within the organisation to ensure best practise is adhered to. • Communicate directly with brokers and customers to create strong working relationships based on trust and excellent customer service. • Encourage positive interaction between management and junior team members through support and communication. • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are managed by completing annual reviews and completing regulatory reporting. • Involved in projects on an ad hoc basis.

Credit Assessment - Evaluating risks within Credit Applications to determine whether or not the credit Application will be approved. Credit Management: Managing account excesses, managing post and pre credit sanctions, such as reviews, grade refresh, excess management and debt recovery. Portfolio Management: Managing a portfolio of SME customers with debt ranging from €3m to €20m. Customer Engagement: Engaging with customers to establish their repayment capacity now and into the future. Data Capturing: Collating customer information including their requirements to complete a credit Application, including Central Bank reporting requirements such as DPD listing, Sector Codes etc. Staff: Training and management of new staff.
