Providing research, report writing, briefings, for both internal and external audiences such as MP’s, the Home Office or police forces, representing the Deputy Chair and her views at meetings with external stakeholders as well as those within the IPCC. Negotiating, advising and influencing the Deputy Chair and others on her behalf. Preparing her for media interviews, public meetings and Home Affairs Select Committee meetings.
Managed critical events involving tanker drivers in the event of accident, injury or damage to equipment. Database management to comply with federal laws. Dealt with confidential health information on all drivers in line with federal and state laws and regulations. Managed random alcohol and drug testing of drivers.
Various projects whilst living in the USA, ranging from researching and writing a report on the market for industrial boilers to organising a national academic conference on the American author Cormac McCarthy.
