During my internship at the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal, I supported consular staff in their daily activities assisting the Italian community residing in the consular district, with a particular focus on the passport office. I contributed to administrative procedures related to passport issuance and renewal, including preliminary document verification and guiding applicants through consular services. The role involved continuous interaction with the public and close collaboration with consular personnel to ensure the efficient handling of applications and front-office operations. In addition, I took part in cross-functional activities within the Consulate, supporting the organization of institutional events such as the Italian Design Day and initiatives aimed at promoting Italy’s presence in the region. This experience allowed me to develop practical skills in public administration within an international context, gain insight into the functioning of Italy’s consular network abroad, and strengthen my abilities in public relations, communication, and teamwork in a diplomatic environment.
During my internship at the Italian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in Athens, I collaborated with a wide range of local companies operating across multiple sectors, including IT, telecommunications, tourism, and maritime industries. I contributed to initiatives aimed at fostering business development and strengthening economic relations between Italian and Greek enterprises. I also supported the organization of institutional and business-related activities, gaining practical experience in an international and multicultural environment. Additionally, I had the opportunity to take part in meetings and events involving public institutions, including interactions with the Hellenic Parliament, which allowed me to better understand the link between economic cooperation and institutional frameworks. This experience helped me develop strong cross-cultural communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, while deepening my understanding of international economic relations.
