Nico Kuhlman works as a lawyer and senior associate at Hogan Lovells Int. LLP in Hamburg and actively pushes the digital transformation in law. Nico advises leading companies in national and international disputes as well as compliance issues. He focuses on intellectual property law, in particular trademark, copyright and unfair competition law, as well as on the EU AI Act. In addition, he regularly shares insights into the digital transformation of law on LinkedIn, Legal Tribune Online and YouTube. Nico is also a co-editor of the journal “Recht Digital” (RDi) from C. H. Beck, where he oversees the “Tech&Tools” section and writes about a new and interesting application every month—one that can simplify, complement, or otherwise improve day-to-day legal work. Nico is also an examiner for the Second State Examination in Law in Hamburg and regularly conducts the oral exams there. Finally, Nico also offers a law club at a local high school (Gymnasium) for upper-grade students and teaches the basics of law there.
