I grew up in Hartswater in the Northern Cape on a citrus and pecan farm. I started my veterinary science degree in 2016 and graduated early 2022. I always had an interest in intensive animal production as it was my elective during my final year at Onderstepoort. After I obtained my veterinary degree, I completed my compulsory community service (CCS) year in Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga, in 2022/23. I participated in C4 Africa's mentorship program during 2022 while doing CCS. I thoroughly enjoyed the program as it stimulated my interest in poultry and convinced me to enter the industry. I joined the C4 Africa team in March 2023, and I am very excited about the journey that lies ahead.
