Technology has changed the way we work, play, shop, live …... and also the way we learn. The future of learning is now and it is digital. Technology is now changing the learning process to be more personalized, participative, social and collaborative. As the aviation industry has been the driving force behind the maturity of computer based training (CBT) systems I was fortunate to be part of these early developments in CBT during my career as a pilot in the South African Air Force in the early 1990s. Today I have over 23 years of experience in the development of CBT programs, instructional design, authoring (programming and scripting), courseware design, curriculum writing and CBT development project management. I believe that we should never stop learning, and technology is making it much easier for us to keep learning at our own pace, at our own time and in an interesting and fun way.
