Precision Automation Client: - Designed robot end effectors, gantry robots, part handling/conveyance, part nests and fixtures, machine frames, electrical boxes and panels, pneumatics, operator interfaces, and optical systems including cameras, lighting, and sensors. - Integrated 6-axis and SCARA robots into single machines and workcells. - Prepared labor and materials cost estimates, bills of material, timing and process diagrams, and technical content materials for sales proposals and design reviews. - Ensured systems met customers’ cost, schedule, throughput, and footprint goals. - Conducted proof of concept experiments to validate critical aspects of design. - 3D printed functional prototypes to identify issues prior to start of build. - Solved build issues to support production through assembly and FAT. Semiconductor Capital Equipment Client #2: - Designed calibration chuck with a Swiss-army knife of silicon photonics edge coupling functions. - Designed tilt arm mount for a positioner for precision probe tip planarization. - Leveraged tilt arm assembly to support multiple frequency extender and tuner configurations. Retail Client: - Designed a retail pet habitat fixture to meet customer’s design requirements and cost targets, including ventilation system and anti-tip safety mechanism. - Managed all aspects of the project including schedule, design reviews, deliverables, and quoting the finished system.
