The Provincial Rappel Program, Rapattack, responds to wildfires in remote areas of British Columbia. When no other access options are available, we arrive by helicopter and rappel directly from the machine, through the forest canopy to the ground. As a Fire Crew Leader I was responsible for formulating fire suppression plans based on current and predicted fire behaviour, and managing on-site crews and resources safely and efficiently.
