Responsibilities: Perform tower erection, inspections, mapping, maintenance, repair, and restructure. Perform installation of fiber cable, coaxial cable, connectors, antennas and lighting systems for microwave, HF (log periodic), TV, radio, cellular, UHF, and VHF, antennas. Skills: Safety Trained OSHA 10 & 30 Hour, Rescue, First Aid, and Medical Card. Moderate/Strong language skills (English) Measuring used for Leveling, Plumb, and Tension of towers: Use of dynamometer, protractor, transit, & tape measure Use of conversions (decimal/fractions, English/Metric, etc.) Use of calculations (volumes, areas, angles, etc.) Technical/Tool: Use of volt meter/wat meter (electrical equipment testing). Use of TDR/Site Master (coaxial and elliptical waveguide testing). Use of system diagnostics on all lighting types, and tower re-lamp. Reasoning: Follow instructions, use common sense, and perform hazard analysis. Identify, define, and present to manager/supervisor. Problem/situation evaluation and solution development during planning. Client/Customer Interface: Able to communicate with customer on procedural, quality, and safety matters Ability to know when to defer to higher authority. Physical Demands: Understands and has applied all safety requirements. Ability to move to all body positions as required. Ability to reach all required work locations. Has no disabilities.
