Responsible to the captain to assist in the safe and efficient conduct of RPT flights throughout Australia. Assume command should the captain become incapacitated. Carry out duties in accordance with the SOP’s, limitations and aircraft performance as allocated by PIC. Confirming safe navigation of the aircraft maintaining a continuous independent check of both the geographical position of the aircraft and safe terrain clearance. Timely and respectfully volunteering advice, information and assistance to the Captain as may contribute favourably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. Flight planning using NAVTECH software and NAIPS. Pre-flight preparation of aircraft; walk around inspections and update flight logs. Supervise underwing pressure refuelling and update aircraft documentation.
Conduct safe, on time RPT and Charter operations throughout WA’s goldfields, Midwest, Gascoyne and Pilbara regions. Flight planning using Champagne Flight Planner software and NAIPS. Aircraft logistics – Manage separation of multiple turboprop aircraft both airborne and on ground at/into remote airstrips with minimal ramp space and refuelling facilities. Manual underwing pressure refuelling and over wing refuelling at remote airstrips. Fuel management using either pounds or kilograms as per specific aircraft. Manual weight and balance calculations with adjustments to passenger and baggage/freight weights to ensure aircraft within weight and balance envelope. Assist baggage/freight loading and unloading. Administration Duties – Aircraft flight logs, aircraft manual updates and Jeppesen updates.

Charter operations throughout the Northern Territory to approximately 15 destinations. Flight planning using Champagne Flight Planner software and NAIPS. Aircraft logistics. Manual over wing refuelling. Baggage/freight loading and unloading. Aircraft daily inspections and pilot approved maintenance. Operations - Manage dispatch of 20 aircraft, allocating pilots to line roster, liaising with clients, quotes for new contracts, taking account payments, and after hours operations contact.
Conduct low-level bird mustering operations, with both single and multiple airborne aircraft. Aircraft logistics, manual drum refuelling, aircraft daily inspections. Ferry flights to the maintenance base in Port Lincoln SA. Pilot approved maintenance.
