In March 2023 I started Wills-Smith Development to help individuals and small businesses achieve their potential through bespoke learning and talent development, and personal coaching. My focus is to use the skills and experience gained over 15 years in large organisations supporting leaders and their teams, to support those who need help but don't have access to a central learning function. For personal coaching, I offer a relaxed and friendly service that can be accessed outside of 'office hours' for those who are ready to take the first step in their personal and professional improvement. Leading the Learning and Development, Recruitment, Payroll and HR admin division supporting 1700 colleagues across the UK. I drive the employee engagement agenda through employee benefits and talent management programmes in order to help our business achieve its goals. In this role I have lead my team to deliver projects such as access to HR self service systems for all of our regional front line staff members, e Learning LMS platforms and several employee benefit options to enhance our employee value proposition. These initiatives have seen lead to a huge increase in our ability to report on learning and ensure compliance in key areas such as GDPR and HSE activities, as well as reduction in attrition across the business. My role also has me act as an escalation in employee relations cases and undertaking activities such as mediation to help resolve conflicts before they move to formal processes. As the owner of all HR support services I have worked with senior leaders across the business on creating talent management and succession planning methods to ensure that we have a healthy talent pipeline in place to support critical roles across the business. Thomas International accredited, I have delivered PPA feedback to members of our teams and coached them through understanding their own behavioural tenancies, as well as how they can recognise these in others and leverage this to improve relationships and influence. I have driven the diversity and inclusion agenda for the company and lead our business to become a Disability Confident employer recognised by the UK's Disability Confident Scheme and forged partnerships with national charities to help create opportunities for people from all backgrounds within Apleona. I also take a leading role in designing the businesses social value strategy balancing the CSR activities with a view to creating this as a unique selling point for our services.

HR Consultant to E.ON's Strategy and Transformation, IT and HR functions Currently working on a large scale organisational change programme looking at outsourcing and Organisational design for a retained organisation. In this role I am the dedicated HR contact partnering the IT business, Strategy and Transformation department and HR dealing with all HR related activities as generalist consultant. My customers come to me for advice and coaching on everything from recruitment advice to Employee Relations support. • Partnering multiple departments headed by board members in general HR and change related activities • Work closely with managers on ER cases ensuring that all legal requirements are met and that colleagues are treated fairly in line with legislation and company policies. • Support and coach line managers to be able to handle low level HR queries with in their team and helping them navigate the HR shared service when needed. • Managed the HR workstream of the IT restructure including the TUPE of 140 colleagues to two service providers, redundancy program for 150 people and the staffing of a retained organisation • Chaired the quarterly union forum and dedicated restructure consultation with multiple trade unions, ensuring that a solid working relationship was always maintained. • Lead the HR customer engagement program, reporting into the HR director and ensuring that the HR exec owned and delivered the project deliverable, leading to a 39-point increase in NPS score • Create MI packs on key people metrics and present to my boards, making recommendations on where action can be taken to improve numbers
