As part of the Rita's Treat Team, I am responsible for the maintenance of the store and dealing with a fast paced environment. I have to make sure to exceed customer satisfaction and service while keeping the store in check. This includes cleanliness, management, organization, and service.
Gained hands-on experience working with patients and sports groups, assisting in recovery therapy, hydro therapy, and inhalation therapy. Had the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population, including bedridden individuals, elderly patients, those under medication, and individuals with impairments. Developed an understanding of proper hygiene and cleaning protocols within a clinical setting while witnessing the more challenging aspects of therapy. Additionally, gained valuable insights into the differences between hospital-based physical therapy and private clinic environments.
Assisted staff with various therapeutic treatments, including lymphatic drainage, yoga sessions, sports therapy, ultrasound therapy, and the application of hot towels. Guided patients through their therapy regimens, providing support and adjustments to enhance their comfort and progress. Gained valuable insights into the operation of a small clinic while becoming familiar with key terminology in physical therapy and patient care. Developed a beginning understanding of injury and pain management techniques to optimize therapy for both recovery and advancement.
Visited various work sites to measure construction areas, assess bridge and road integrity, and analyze structural stability. Gained hands-on experience in digital mapping, reading plat maps, and operating laser measuring devices. Studied the environmental impact of construction on wildlife while learning the principles behind creating dependable, durable, and properly funded construction plans.
Gained hands-on experience in good manufacturing practices (GMP) within a pharmaceutical company, exploring the chemistry and processes behind organic extractions. Learned proper white-room safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and the correct methods for storing products. Collaborated with a specialized team across the lab, extraction facility, and warehouse, developing expertise in safely handling industrial equipment and chemicals. Additionally, gained valuable insights into engineering processes, technological infrastructure, and the quality and safety measures necessary to meet industry standards.
