Prof. Nick Guldemond hold degrees in medicine and electric engineering and a PhD from Maastricht University. He was the CEO and founder of the Medical Field Lab (early 2000) i.e. the first international example of a university hospital based βliving labβ dedicated to science, innovation and societal impact. In this period he was experimenting with early days university based open-innovation concepts, co-creation, service design and building innovation ecosystems. In doing so, he performed groundbreaking work with the development of the first low-temperature 3D printing technology for bone structures, mobile monitoring systems for various diseases, early days smartTV (2007) based blended homecare, virtual surgical systems with augmented reality and haptic feedback as well as innovative care service concepts: diabetes, oncology and frail elderly. In 2017, he became Professor for Integrated Care and Technology at Sechenov Medical University until February 2022. He is also Professor for Public Health and Healthcare at various universities and holds a position as a Senior Researcher at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. During his career, Prof. Guldemond worked as a clinical researcher on numerous health innovation projects, often in collaboration with partners in the pharmaceutical, medtech, health IT and finance sectors. He has successfully managed various multidisciplinary/multicultural teams and established two succesful companies. As a key expert on Health and integrated care, he is an Expert Member of the WHO Working Group Digital Health, WHO Pan-European Commission on Health and Sustainable Development and a consultant for Health programmes and medical curriculum development in various countries on different continents, NGO's, multi-nationals and start-ups. Prof. Guldemond also served as the coordinator of EU EIP on Healthy and Active Ageing, as expert at the World's Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) and as an expert implementation human rights in biomedicine at the European Council. He is associated editor for the Journal of Integrated Care and a member of the editorial board of the European Medical Journal.
REFORMA 3.3 is a large, multi-sector reform. Its evidence and proposals come from six distinct domains β Primary Care, Long-Term Care, Drug Policy, Digitalisation, Hospital Networks, and Macro-Financing. Each domain is led by a sector specialist. The final policy document synthesises all of these inputs into a single, coherent strategic framework.

The Xpanding Innovative Alliance (XiA) project is dedicated to advancing interoperability within the healthcare sector, particularly in anticipation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation. Utilising a multi-disciplinary approach, the project will offer online educational content and learning experiences tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals and relevant organisations. The primary objectives of XiA include developing personalised learning pathways, accrediting educational initiatives, and promoting the integration of digital transformation, interoperability and cybersecurity skills.
The European Commission βThe international outreach for human-centric artificial intelligence initiative will help promote the EUβs vision on sustainable and trustworthy AIβ InTouchAI.eu This programme will create the framework for ethics and trust to enable the growth of AI in accordance with EU and universally recognised values and prepare the ground for global consensus building. Within its mission, InTouchAI.eu is tasked with the collection and analysis of evidence from the field of health and healthcare at a global level. Such evidence is expected to be used as case studies that will inspire international standardization activities to be developed in cooperation with EU and global partners.

In the evaluation process, proposals are given scores for excellence, impact, and quality and efficiency of implementation β based on the Standard Evaluation Criteria.
