HVAC/R Technician | Commercial Refrigeration & Building Systems | EPA Certified Role Description: Complex Diagnostics & Repair: Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, chillers) and refrigeration units (walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and ice machines), utilizing schematics and diagnostic tools to ensure precise resolution of electrical and mechanical failures. System Maintenance: Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for commercial clients, ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency to reduce energy consumption and extend asset lifespan. Refrigerant Management: Strictly adhere to EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling, recovery, and reclamation, ensuring full environmental compliance and safety during system charging and evacuations. Installation & Commissioning: Manage the installation and startup of new heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, including brazing copper lines, setting controls, and balancing system pressures (superheat/subcooling). Client Communication: Act as a technical advisor to business owners and facility managers, clearly explaining system issues, repair options, and upgrade recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
