I was brought into SPX Flow to build and manage the Program Execution team and processes for SPX Flow’s IT Department. Our team manages all critical, strategic projects and programs for SPX Flow IT, such as... - Migrations from Legacy ERP systems to the corporate standard SAP ERP (implementing cross company standards and simplifying technology landscape) - Implementation of B2B EDI with key Customers and Vendors (solidifying relationships) - Expansion of the eCommerce platform (SAP Hybris) to multiple Product Lines (supporting the Corporate 80/20 strategy and driving After Market growth) - Global implementation of Workforce Time Management Solution - Multiple divestiture/acquisition integration programs - Implementing Agile methodologies in a mainly waterfall organization My favourite part of the role is the opportunity to find and grow the capabilities of the individual Project Managers in our team, both full-time and contract. Seeing my teammates grow to move on to bigger roles was most satisfying.
After relocating to Charlotte, I was recruited as a Project Manager in the IT group supporting the Retail Brokerage business. I managed multiple projects across the technical landscape, from Mainframe to .Net service layer implementations. I also managed the merger activities for the group through two, back to back, mergers: Wachovia Securities/ AG Edwards and Wachovia/Wells Fargo.
I took a short term contract with the Global Technology Services team of State Street Bank to deliver a financial reporting suit to a major Client in a tight timeframe. On time delivery was a pre-requisite for the Client renewing their contract. My roles covered all aspects of the project for requirements definition through design and build of the Oracle/ PL/SQL Platform through transition to go-forward support team.
I led the Oracle Team developing Global Management Information Systems for the Corporate Investment Bank, Institutional Sales, group in Deutsche Bank. This involved working with business teams to define requirements, defining the Application architecture, scheduling functionality releases and managing the development team. In the later stages of this role, was chosen to re-train to support the new J2EE based platform being introduced.
Recruited into the Information Services Group (RIS) to develop internal reporting solutions, leveraging the Oracle toolset of the time. This was a “self manage” position which required proactive engagement with business stakeholders, ownership of the development plan and day to day management of the development team (including external partners). Key projects delivered were: “Reuters City” B2C website and support infrastructure ; Global Customer Relationship Management application European rollout.
