Samuel Estates: Our Story Samuel Estates initially started as a small venture to manage my own property portfolio and later expanded to include the portfolios of private clients. We quickly established a strategic partnership with Countryside Properties, offering advice to their investor clients in London. Our growth has been a mix of organic expansion and acquisitions, all while maintaining our commitment to being an independent estate agency. My Background: My commercial experience stems from my time at Post Office Ltd, where I worked on the automation of Post Offices and renegotiated contracts with Fujitsu Service, collaborating with senior Post Office and Fujitsu executives. Before Samuel Estates, Nick worked in a senior role within the IT Directorate for Post Office, overseeing change control and commercial input on the automation platform run by Fujitsu Services – formerly Europe's largest ever non-military IT contract. Nick is heavily involved in the local business community as a Board Director of the Merton Chamber of Commerce and also held the position as Chair of a Town Centre Partnership Board.     The Balham Partnership was established in 1996. It played a crucial role in ensuring the viability of Balham Town Centre for those who live, work, shop and relax in Balham. The Partnership was private sector led, with representatives from Balham businesses, the community, Wandsworth Council and the Metropolitan Police. The majority of members are volunteers who give their time to Build a Better Balham. The Partnership was disolved 31 December 2018 following a change in Strategy at Wandsworth Borough Council. Partnership members attend bi-monthly Board meetings and remain active between meetings through their work with the sub groups that focus on particular issues. Partnership members adhere to a Terms of Reference (available at balham.com) The Balham Town Centre Business Plan sets out the objectives that the Balham Partnership aims to achieve.
